2026 NHRA Chassis certifications Maui.
Mike Rice, the NHRA Senior Director of Competition will be on Maui this month to perform required certifications to ensure your vehicle is ready for the 2026 season:
Certifications details:
* Dates: January 23–25, 2026.
* Format: House calls only. Unlike previous years where a central tech site might have been used, Mike Rice will be traveling to individual locations.
* Cost: $175.00 per chassis.
Mandatory Certification Requirements:
NHRA rules require a valid chassis certification for any vehicle that meets the following performance thresholds:
* Elapsed Time (ET): 9.99 seconds or quicker in the quarter-mile.
* Top Speed: Exceeding 135 mph.
Note: A valid chassis certification typically lasts for three years (SFI specs), after which the serialized sticker must be renewed to remain legal for NHRA competition.
How to Schedule:
Because these are house calls, you must be on the official list for Mike to visit your location.
* Primary Contact: Reach out to Director Mark Caires at 808-276-8655.
* Process: Provide your name, vehicle location, and contact info to Mark. Once the list is compiled, Mike Rice will coordinate the specific time for your inspection within the January 23–25, 2026 window.
